A gunman’s ability to get within shooting distance of former President
Trump on Sunday has again raised the specter of violence in the American
political landscape, a development that analysts said is all too
expected as Trump’s followers vowed it would make them even more
determined to reelect him.

Just two months after a would-be assassin’s bullet clipped Trump’s ear
in Butler, Pa., the Secret Service fired shots at a man with an assault
rifle who had hidden himself in foliage less than 500 yards from the
former president.

The motives of the suspect, identified by law enforcement sources as
Ryan Wesley Routh, had not been revealed by late in the afternoon, but
Trump followers immediately rallied around the former president.

“FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! TRUMP 2024,” wrote one supporter on Trump’s Truth
Social platform.

“The greatest warrior,” chimed in Kash Patel, a former appointee in
Trump’s Defense Department.

In another post, Trump appears as a heroic figure, fists firing as he
strides across a battlefield. “I AM SAFE AND WELL!” the missive read.
“Our president Donald Trump.” It was followed by hands praying.

Excellent commentary from former FBI agent speaking on CNN:

Sunday, during CNN’s coverage of a second attempted assassination
attempt on former President Donald Trump, former FBI counterterrorism
agent Tim Clemente told host Erin Burnett that finger-pointing at Trump,
including claims his “verbiage” about a “bloodbath” for the auto
industry if his Democrat opponent wins misconstrued to bolster claims of
violence if he didn’t win, was a likely motivation for the accused assassin.

“It’s unprecedented in a civilized society, and I think we’re becoming
more and more uncivilized, sadly, with the political diatribes that are
going on and the political new indictments of either candidate,” he
said. “And sadly, the finger pointing at Trump has led to — you know —
you know, the line about the blood — bloodbath, talking about the auto
industry being used as if he’s going to create a bloody coup if he loses.”

“That — that kind of — that kind of verbiage is something you use in a
third world country when you’re talking about a dictator, and that sadly
has led to, I think, these attempts on Trump’s life and I don’t think
it’s going to end. I think we just have to realize, look, we’re
political opponents,” Clemente continued. “You and I might not agree on
50% of what we care about politically. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t
mean we can’t be friends, neighbors, relatives, and have a regular
dialogue every day. We have to get back to that talk about our
differences, but not in a way that makes us feel like you’re the enemy
and I’m all good.”

He's correct.
Sure Trump is an incindienary person who surely annoys some people however the state run radical
left wing media like CNN and MSNBC are fueling the fire with their false and misleading statements.

THEY are the real problem here.

I notice that "Morning Joe" also used the intro line: "In the wake of an
apparent assassination attempt against Donald Trump . . ." They try to
make it seem as if the man with the gun over there might have just been
there to protect the former President or to shoot ducks or kittens. It's
like how they described the previous shooter as "the alleged shooter."
They like to give it a dream like imagery so as to make it all seem like
an episode of a Netflix show or a drug induced hallucination.

Classic deep state psyop.

The entire nation is being gaslighted to accept these shootings as some
kind of new normal, for which Trump of course must be muzzled, lest his

I notice that "Morning Joe" also used the intro line: "In the wake of

try to make it seem as if the man with the gun over there might have
just been there to protect the former President or to shoot ducks or

Classic deep state psyop.
The entire nation is being gaslighted to accept these shootings as some
kind of new normal, for which Trump of course must be muzzled, lest his
words set another deep state Ukrainian asset off.y

"Apparent assassination attempt" is a responsible way to inform the

That's true on paper and as taught in academia, but as the OJ Simpson
civil trial proved, it doesn't always work out that way in practice. Few
Americans believed that OJ was innocent of killing his estranged wife,
despite the not guilty verdict in his criminal trial. Hollywood, the
mainstream media, and perhaps half of all Americans believe Donald Trump
is guilty of all kinds of crimes all the time. The mainstream media is
the main cheerleader when it comes to pushing the idea that some persons
are guilty even when not proven guilty in a court of law, IMHO.

Anyone may believe anything. But he was found not guilty. Under

The media is free to express a belief in person A being guilty of
a crime. The issue becomes when the media fails to make it clear it's
a belief, or opinion, not an established fact. Several such
organizations slip over the line.

The media is free to express a belief in person A being guilty of
a crime. The issue becomes when the media fails to make it clear it's
a belief, or opinion, not an established fact. Several such
organizations slip over the line.
I am reminded of that old TV show called The Fugitive. Every episode
was a dramatization of the paranoia, fear and sense of danger that a
wrongly convicted man must live with as "normal".

I notice that "Morning Joe" also used the intro line: "In the wake of
an apparent assassination attempt against Donald Trump . . ." They try
to make it seem as if the man with the gun over there might have just
been there to protect the former President or to shoot ducks or
kittens. It's like how they described the previous shooter as "the

make it all seem like an episode of a Netflix show or a drug induced

Fuck you.
Why do you HATE the Constitution so?
The Constitution itself had to be amended for that protection to exist:

https://courses.lumenlearning.com/suny-amgovernment/chapter/regulating-the-media/

Media and the First Amendment
The U.S. Constitution was written in secrecy. Journalists were neither
invited to watch the drafting, nor did the framers talk to the press
about their disagreements and decisions. Once it was finished, however,
the Constitution was released to the public and almost all newspapers
printed it. Newspaper editors also published commentary and opinion
about the new document and the form of government it proposed. Early
support for the Constitution was strong, and Anti-Federalists (who
opposed it) argued that their concerns were not properly covered by the
press. The eventual printing of The Federalist Papers, and the
lesser-known Anti-Federalist Papers, fueled the argument that the press
was vital to American democracy. It was also clear the press had the
ability to affect public opinion and therefore public policy.
Post by K Wills
I really do want to know.
The approval of the First Amendment, as a part of the Bill of Rights,
demonstrated the framers’ belief that a free and vital press was
important enough to protect. It said:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

This amendment serves as the basis for the political freedoms of the
United States, and freedom of the press plays a strong role in keeping
democracy healthy. Without it, the press would not be free to alert
citizens to government abuses and corruption. In fact, one of New York’s
first newspapers, the New York Weekly Journal, began under John Peter
Zenger in 1733 with the goal of routing corruption in the colonial
government. After the colonial governor, William Cosby, had Zenger
arrested and charged with seditious libel in 1835, his lawyers
successfully defended his case and Zenger was found not guilty,
affirming the importance of a free press in the colonies.
Post by K Wills
As you should know, everyone is presumed innocent until proved
guilty in a court of law.
That is a court-based outcome, not a Constitutional mandate of news
reportage.

Because if it were so the Constitution would be at odds with itself.
Post by K Wills
If you're too stupid to know this, I hope
I've educated you. If you just HATE what the U.S. stands for, well, so
be it.
Chaff alert.

Reporting a filmed or video'd execution for what it is comprises a
statement of fact.

The same as war footage from the battlefield requires no kid gloves in
description.
