JCT: For almost 20 years, I have been posting from my
***@yahoo.com to several yahoogroups:
turmel
medpot
medpot-discuss
letssc
goldstarteam

Suddenly last week, Yahoogroups no longer recognized my
address and started rejecting my posts.

I can go to the site and post directly but can no longer
send an email that gets posted.

I told Help at Yahoogroups and received this response:
This is an automated response confirming your recent
request for assistance.
Your Case Number is: 27603908
If you submitted a support request, a Yahoo Customer
Care representative will respond within one business
day.

A day later, this response:
Yahoo proudly offers help channels where you can find
answers to many of your technical questions. While
direct support for this issue isn't available, there are
several places to go for help:
Yahoo Help Central - A self-help guide to all of your
favorite Yahoo products where you can find
troubleshooting steps, how-to articles, and general
information.
Yahoo Help Community Forum - A forum to search for and
ask questions about specific Yahoo products.
Social Media - Find us on Facebook or Twitter.
Please be aware that while there are some fraudulent
sites online that charge for Yahoo support; they<re not
to be trusted! Yahoo help is always free.
Regards,
Yash, Yahoo Customer Care.

When the problem persisted, I wrote again and got:
We've closed your case as we believe we've fully
addressed it.
If you still need help, you can contact us using the
options available at: Yahoo Help Central. Thanks!

So, nothing got fixed but Yash recorded it as the problem
solved. Very successful complaints department. I wrote a new
complaint:
Your Case Number is: 27618925

This was the response:
Yahoo proudly offers help channels where you can find
answers to many of your technical questions. While
direct support for issue isn't available, there are
several places to go for help:...
This may not be the most satisfying answer to the
concerns you have, and if so, I apologize for that.
Divya Yahoo Customer Care

So direct support for Yahoogroups no longer recognizing my
email so that I can no longer use it isn't available.

I'm going to have to stop posting to all the groups but
turmel. Other members can probably post but not the owner.
So if you belong to one of the other four Yahoogroups,
you'll have to join "turmel" or watch my blog at
Googlegroups:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/alt.fan.john-turmel

Now, keep in mind, Yahoogroups has retarded engineers or
saboteurs. A few years ago, they destroyed links to all
their archived postings so no one can ever easily find those
posts again.

The structure used to be: yahoogroups.com/group/turmel/posts
It was changed to: yahoogroups.com/neo/group/turmel/posts

So worth years of links to articles posted to
yahoogroups.com/group... can no longer be read! Either
sabotage or really retarded engineers.

Given how they can't make my yahoo email work with their
own yahoo groups, I have to bet on retarded engineers!

I agree with your point. I was a member of several Yahoo groups for years, in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Mostly Science Fiction fan groups.

In the last few years I have abandoned them completely, they have all either gone dead or become home to very nasty spam.

Facebook groups have largely replaced Yahoo groups, though, and you could always consider a Facebook page, Mr. Turmel.

Yahoo's groups have sadly declined and are no longer worth visiting.
